How much area can the 50-pack cover?

The 50-pack covers up to 250 sq. ft., depending on framing layout, clip spacing, hat channel spacing and the type of wall or ceiling assembly. Actual coverage may vary by project.

What type of hat channel should I use?

These sound isolation clips are designed for standard 7/8-inch hat channel used in drywall furring and soundproofing assemblies. Hat channel is not included.

Can these clips be used on walls, ceilings and different framing types?

Yes. They are suitable for wall and ceiling assemblies using wood studs, steel framing or ceiling joists. Concrete and CMU applications require suitable framing, anchors and project-appropriate fasteners.

How do these clips help improve STC and IIC performance?

They decouple drywall from framing to help reduce airborne and impact noise. They are commonly used in high-STC and high-IIC assemblies for shared walls, studios, home theaters and basement ceilings.

How strong is each sound isolation clip?

Each clip passed an SGS 36 lb static load test, providing tested support for wall and ceiling decoupling assemblies.
